My friend and I were in 6th grade, well I was in 6th, she was in 5th, but we were on the school's playground on a sunday, becuz the school was nearby our houses, and we were playing on the slide, and gossiping about the things older elementry kids gossip about. We looked over towards the end of the playground and saw a large gray-black oval thing flying in the sky, I thought it might have been a blimp but it seemed to small, and why would there be a blimp here, it flew from our area towards this radio tower about 10 miles away, so obviously it got smaller and kinda harder to see, but we had twenty/twenty vision so we could see that it was flying around the tower, and my friend Lilli said, with complete seriousness, "It's a flying saucer, it is trying to communicate with us." I was a skeptic, "No it couldn't be, there are rarely sightings during the day." I read alot of UFO books, and the thought that there actually was one before me scared the crap out of me. Also I didn't want to think that God would create another species and not tell us about it*, even though if you think about it, it would be obsurd that there is this giant universe with just one planet of ultra complex creatures.
*However an interesting thing is how the latin word for angels, is literally translated to The Watchers, so if you think about it aliens probably watch us, and have for some years, and it was probably easier to watch us back when we didn't have nuclear bombs. And cultures and religions of the past sometimes referr to "The Watchers" or "Watcher" so it is quite possible that aliens were thought to be some sort of divine beings.
