There is this place, in Hillsville P.A., The locals call it "Zombie Land." For years there have been stories linked to this place.
Stories say that a mental hospital caught fire one day and several patient's got loose and went off into the woods, and made a home
for themselves there, which is now known as "Zombie Land." When you drive through this place, you must keep your doors locked, and
your windows up, otherwise they will come and kill you, you are trespassing on their property, and they do not appreciate it, they
do try to scare you, and get you out of there, several people that I know were so traumatized by the things that they saw there that
they cannot even talk about it.
There is no admission fee to get in there or anything like that, it is not a hoax. Cellular phones, pagers, navigaton systems for
cars, and all other forms of communication are said not to work there, I personally experienced a completley dead battery on my
cell phone and my pager when I was there, and I had just put a new battery in my pager the week before, and my cell phone was fully
charged. To get to it, you go down a road, past a cemetary, you'll keep going and you get to a one lane bridge that goes over a large
ugly, dirty body of water, you get to the end of the bridge, and there is a very steep hill that you must go down in order to
enter "Zombie Land."
This hill is so steep that you must be careful to make sure what the weather is like before you go there, because there is only one
way in and one way out, and that is down and up that hill, and if it is muddy, or wet, forget about it, you won't get out. You can
turn left or right, stories say that most people get this sudden urge to turn right always, and very few people have ever turned
left, they say that if you do turn left, you will be killed.
At the beginning of the road there is trees and wind flowers lining
the road, and there are animal corpses in the trees, along with animal heads along side of the road, then you will come to a very,
very large abandoned field that is on both sides of the two lane road, and it is known as "The Killing Fields." Gunshots, screams,
and other gruesome sounds have been reported to come from the fields. I have heard them myself. You will feel something shaking your
car, and pushing on your hood and you see the metal pushing in and out of the hood and the trunk but there is no one there, I am
guessing these are the ghosts of the people that used to reside there in the woods. You hear knocks at the windows, things of that
sort, but there is no one there.
There are houses there, but they are extremly old, and vacant, there is an old wooden swing that is hung from a tree in the woods and
it is swinging, you can also see the rope straps of the swing bending as if someone was pulling on them to swing, but there is no one
on the swing. You will come to an opening in the "Killing Fields", and there is a gravel path, and you go do wn that, and you will
come to a winding road that leads you up to a cliff type mountain, and sitting on the road, you can see and hear a train going
through that mountain, and when you drive up there, there are no train tracks. There are one set of tracks, but they are on the
ground level, and it is said that if you drive over them, and them turn around and leave your car in the middle of them... and turn
your car off, strange things will happen.
I have done this with my friends, he followed the instructions, left his car in the
middle, turned off the engine, and we waited, about 2 minutes later the hood popped up and went back down with much speed, and the
car started back up on it's own. I truly believe that this place is the real thing, I know what I have experienced there. Thank You
